Kaesler Viognier is better known around the winery as “Steve’s Love Child,” as it is our winemaker, Stephen Dew’s favourite white variety. It is made from estate grown fruit.


Fruit was whole bunched pressed with the pressing included. Juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks with 100% wild yeast and left on lees for 10 months. The wine was matured in French oak barriques, 30% new and the remainder 2 & 3 year old oak. The wine remained in oak for 15 months.


 Light straw.


White stone fruits and hints of spice.


Rich, full fruit flavour with spicy cinnamon and clove notes.


Enjoy in its youth or cellar for up to 10 years.

    Whole bunch-pressed, wild-fermented in stainless
    steel with the pressings included, matured in French barriques (30% new) on lees for 10 months, then racked clear and matured for a further 5 months. A brave and largely successful approach, its slight Achilles heel the sticky phenolics on the finish that would be eliminated with the right food. You have to applaud.

    The 2014 Viognier has apricot, melon and allspice notes with wafts of cedar, butterscotch and ginger. Medium to full-bodied with a pleasantly oily texture, it packs-in the ripe stone fruit and spice flavors, finishing with a refreshing lift.
