Kaesler Viognier is better known around the winery as “Steve’s Love Child,” as it is our winemaker, Stephen Dew’s favourite white variety. It is made from estate grown fruit.
Fruit was whole bunched pressed with the pressing included. Juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks with 100% wild yeast and left on lees for 2 months. The wine was then racked and pumped to French oak, 15% new and the remainder 2 & 3 year old oak. The wine remained in oak for a further 8 months.
Stone fruits and hints of spice, nutmeg
Full flavoured mouthfeel of pears and peaches, yet good acidity and clean finish.
Enjoy in its youth or cellar for up to 10 years.
