“WOMS” stands for “Weapon of Mass Seduction.”
Shiraz & Cabernet Sauvignon - the quintessential Australian blend. A classic dry red wine that is complex, rich and will age well. This is the fifth release of this wine (previous vintages were in 2002/2004/2006/2008).
Free drainings from skins were collected over a 36 hour period, matured in French oak from the Nevers forest planted in 1779. The wine is kept in this oak for 26 months then blended to achieve maximum extract and purity, with a view to the wine achieving harmony at 30 years of age. No fining or filtration.
Purple and crimson, with a dense centre and a youthful edge.
Blackberries, mulberries and cherries with hints of chary oak.
Black cherries, vanilla and some leather characters on the palate. The fruit is solid and tightened by oak and tannin in its youth, with cellaring, the oak will lay down and the fruit will prevail. Good viscosity.
Many of you who are followers of WOMS will know that we only make
Cellaring potential - 30 years. Limited production - 350 cases.
