Summary | Kaesler Viognier is better known around the winery as “Steve’s Love Child,” as it is our winemaker, Stephen Dew’s favourite white variety. It is made from estate grown fruit. |
Vinification | Fruit was lightly whole bunched pressed on the 5th of February 2015. Juice was fermented in French oak barriques 30% new and the remainder 2 & 3 year old oak with 100% wild yeast and fermented cool for the next 20 days. The wine remained in oak for 15 months. |
Colour | Light straw. |
---|---|
Nose | Peach and Honeysuckle. |
Palate | Rich, creamy taste hints of Peach, Apricot full fruit flavour with spicy cinnamon and notes of new oak in the background. This is a thinking person’s wine, stop and let the wine open up as you drink, the surprise is well worth it. |
Notes | Enjoy in its youth or cellar for up to 10 years. |
