2013 Kaesler Old Bastard Shiraz – 97 points

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2013 Shiraz Old Bastard has a slowly emerging, complex nose of incense, cloves, star anise, tar, underbrush and earth with a blackberry and blackcurrant core plus a touch of wild thyme. The big, full, opulently fruited palate delivers tons of flavor layers and wonderful structure with firm, rounded tannins and a racy acid line supporting the generous fruit through the very long finish.

2013 Kaesler Alte Reben Shiraz – 93 points

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2013 Alte Reben Shiraz has a gorgeous nose of crushed black cherries and mulberries with underlying violets, chocolate box and baking spice hints. The full-bodied palate has wonderful opulence and expression yet great finesse and harmony with silky tannins and a lively backbone finishing with great purity.

2013 Kaesler Old Vine Shiraz – 91 points

Very deep garnet-purple in color, the 2013 Shiraz Old Vine has notes of fertile earth, charcoal and yeast extract over the blackcurrant and black plum core with a hint of licorice. Powerful, concentrated and full-bodied on the palate, it offers shedloads of muscular fruit with a solid backbone of rounded tannins and a good long finish.

2013 Kaesler Shiraz The Bogan – 91 points

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2013 Shiraz The Bogan gives a savory nose of beef drippings, Marmite and chargrill with a solid core of black berries and blackcurrants plus a peppery waft. Very big, rich and voluptuously fruit on the full-bodied palate, it delivers a lot of savory fruit and chewy tannins with great length.

2013 Kaesler Avignon – 91+ points

Pale to medium garnet colored, the 2013 Avignon Proprietary Red (a blend of 67% Grenache and 33% Mourvèdre) has a black cherry and black raspberry laced nose with cinnamon stick, vanilla and Sichuan pepper hints. Big, rig, full-bodied and expressive in the mouth, it coats the palate with kirsch and velvety tannins, finishing with great length.

2013 Kaesler Stonehorse Grenache / Shiraz – 89points

Pale to medium garnet colored, the 2013 Stonehorse Grenache / Shiraz has a nose of milk chocolate-covered cherries and raspberry preserves with touches of lavender and black pepper. The full-bodied palate is packed with berry coulis and kirsch notes, framed by a soft cushion of tannins and just enough freshness to carry the fruit to a long finish.

2014 Kaesler Viognier – 90 points

The 2014 Viognier has apricot, melon and allspice notes with wafts of cedar, butterscotch and ginger. Medium to full-bodied with a pleasantly oily texture, it packs-in the ripe stone fruit and spice flavors, finishing with a refreshing lift.

2013 Kaesler Cabernet Sauvignon – 89+ points

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon reveals notes of crème de cassis and blueberry pie with suggestions of eucalypt, pencil shavings and tree bark. Medium to full-bodied, the palate offers lovely freshness and finesse with a finely grained backbone and menthol laced finish.
